Product Description and Size Guide

The great classic: a traditional colourwork cardigan knitted in Peer Gynt, rooted in the Norwegian knitting tradition. Knitted bottom-up with a steek, it fastens with 8 buttons. 3.5 and 4 mm needles – tension: 20 stitches = 10 cm. The model is 180 cm tall and wears size M.

The cardigan is worked bottom-up. Stitches are cast on for the back and fronts, and the ribbing is worked back and forth. Extra stitches are then cast on at the centre front for the steek, and the body is worked in the round in colourwork following the chart. The knitting is then cut open at the centre front and for the armholes, and the button bands, neckband, sleeves and facings are worked. The body and sleeve lengths can be adjusted as you wish.

The amount of yarn is based on the measurements shown. Allow extra yarn for a longer garment.
