Product Description and Size Guide

Children’s ribbed jumper, knitted top-down in Sunday used double: 1 strand of each colour for a marled effect, or 2 strands of the same colour for a solid jumper. For a little extra contrast, choose another colour for the ribbed neckband. 4 mm needles – tension: 24 stitches = 10 cm.

Stitches are cast on for the back, which is worked down to the underarms. Stitches are then picked up along each shoulder for the left and right sides of the front, then the neck stitches are cast on to join them and the front is worked down to the underarms. The back and front are joined and the body is worked in the round to the desired length, then cast off in ribbing. The sleeve stitches are picked up around the armholes and worked in the round, in ribbing. The ribbed neckband, marled or solid, is folded double to the wrong side. The body and sleeve lengths can be adjusted as you wish.

The amount of yarn is based on the measurements shown. Allow extra yarn for a longer garment.

The pattern comes in three colourways: in the table, colours are listed as colourway 1 / colourway 2 / colourway 3.
