V-neck cardigan worked top-down with 2 strands held together: 1 strand of Double Sunday + 1 strand of Ballerina Chunky Mohair. 4.5 mm needles – tension: 17 stitches and 24 rows in stocking stitch = 10 cm. Notions: approx. 3 m of black satin ribbon, 25 mm wide.
Cast on the stitches for the back neck, with increases on each side to shape European shoulders. The back is worked down to the armholes, then stitches are picked up for the fronts, with the V-neck and chart patterns, before they are joined to the back and finished with ribbing. Stitches are picked up for the sleeves and front bands; the bands have eyelets for the ribbon. Optional: buttonholes on one band only.
The amount of yarn is based on the measurements shown. Allow extra yarn for a longer garment.
