2606 DIY / No. 4 Bloom Cardigan

Product Description and Size Guide

Sandnes Garn pattern sheet for the Bloom cardigan, available in two yarn versions: Sunday and Tynn Silk Mohair (4a) or Alpakka Følgetråd and Tynn Silk Mohair (4b). The construction and measurements are the same for both versions.

4a — Sunday & Tynn Silk Mohair

Bloom Cardigan is worked from the top down in Sunday and Tynn Silk Mohair, holding one strand of each quality together. The cardigan features raglan increases, a charted pattern on the front pieces, double-knitted front bands and an optional collar.

The cardigan is worked from the top down, holding 1 strand of each quality together. Stitches are cast on for the yoke, which is worked back and forth with raglan increases and short rows to shape the neckline, while a charted pattern is worked on the front pieces. When the neckline shaping is complete, the work is continued back and forth with raglan increases. When all increases are complete, the work is divided for the sleeves, front and back, and each section is completed separately and finished with a narrow ribbed edge. Stitches are then picked up for the double-knitted front bands and the ribbed neckband. Choose whether to work the cardigan with or without a collar. Stitches are picked up for the collar, which is worked in a charted pattern.

THE MODEL IS 178 CM TALL AND IS WEARING SIZE S.
