An iconic yarn from the Norwegian mill Rauma, 3-TR. STRIKKEGARN is a 100% pure Norwegian wool yarn twisted into a 3-ply strand—sturdy, warm, and true to Scandinavian traditions.
Its tight twist gives it excellent stitch definition, making it ideal for traditional patterned sweaters and cardigans, as well as classic Nordic sweater styles. Untreated and not superwash, it retains all the natural qualities of yarn: thermal insulation, durability, and a beautiful patina that develops over time.
Versatile, it is equally suited to traditional sweaters and jackets as well as everyday accessories—mittens, booties, hats—that are sturdy and warm.
The Rauma spinning mill has been established since 1927 in Veblungsnes, on the Romsdal Peninsula in Norway.
