Roomy, cosy jumper with marled stripes, knitted top-down with 2 strands of Børstet Alpakka. The neckline is worked narrow, or wide to wear the jumper off the shoulders. The pattern includes the adult version (3A, XS to 5XL) and the junior version (3B, ages 2 to 14). 8 mm and 9 mm needles – tension: 10 stitches = 10 cm.
Stitches are cast on for the neckline, then the work is knitted in the round with raglan increases. It is then divided for the sleeves, back and front, which are finished separately. The marled stripes are made by gradually replacing one strand with the new colour, then the second. A third colour forms a contrast stripe at the lower edge, and the stitches are cast off for a rolled edge. The neckline stitches are picked up and worked in twisted rib, in a narrow or wide version.
The amount of yarn is based on the measurements shown. Allow extra yarn for a longer garment.
