The Tree of Life Throw is a beautiful design inspired by motifs found in antique textiles, carpets and kilims from India and the Far East. It has also been inspired by my love of trees and the symbolism of trees in cultural art across the world. It was only a matter of time before I created such a design and I am absolutely thrilled with it! Although I call it a throw, it would look amazing hung as a wall hanging or work of art!

Although, the design looks complex, I can assure it is not! As it is completed in sections, it makes the knitting a lot less overwhelming and I support you every step of the way with my very comprehensive instructional videos...in fact a novice Fairisle knitter would be capable of knitting and finishing this design!

The Tree of Life Throw is knitted in 8 sections using all 26 colours of the current British Breeds yarn range and uses several different knitting techniques - knitting Fairisle flat, picking up stitches, increasing, decreasing stitches and 3 needle bind off.

This design is knitted flat, working Fairisle on the right and the wrong side. Due to the complexity of the design, it cannot be knitted in the round with steeks. This would spoil the finished appearance and handle of the throw.

Fairisle Club 10 is a complete kit, comprising of all the British Breeds yarn (53 balls in total), the full printed pattern booklet and an exclusive Fairisle Club 10 canvas project bag.

Links to the digital Tree of Life Throw PDF pattern will be included in the Welcome email when the knitalong starts along with a special 10% discount code to use any time on any kit or book purchase from the shop.

The club will be supported by comprehensive instructional videos covering in detail each of the 8 sections that make up the Tree of Life Throw, these will be released by email updates. As each section and the corresponding videos are released in intervals, you will be able to knitalong with Marie at your own pace referring to the videos when you wish. Only Fairisle Club 10 members have access to these videos.

Members will be invited to the Fairisle Club 10 Ravelry feed in Marie’s Ravelry group. In this feed you will be able to chat with other members and receive help. On the release of each section, Marie will be available for a Q & A Knit Video Chat, the date and time for each will be released with the relevant email update.

By joining Fairisle Club 10, you will be a member of the Fairisle Club and therefore able to buy the digital patterns of any of the previous projects.
